I learned Unix on a DEC MicroVax II running Ultrix. I actually had to
partition the drives by using a Sector creation tool, and specifying the
start and stop block numbers. 1200 baud was all that was available
until the 9600 baud modems came down in price from the sky. I still
remember being wooed by the DEC Developers at a Conference here in
Pittsburgh, I was the only attendee that wanted to learn more about
Ultrix, I was already a VAX/VMS Administrator.

And don't get me started about the days on the 300 baud Teletype we used
for the Timeshare service we had when I was in High School. .....
Perhaps another time.

That's the only way we get to keep our choices. Btw, at any given time
I have at least 12 windows open at a time and more often than than this
is a low estimate. I Love X Windows!
