[Mimedefang] Problems Upgrading ONE Server from 2.28

OK, I've tried this one every way I can think of, and I cannot see the 
solution:

I am running LM 8.2, Sendmail 8.12.9, and MIMEDefang 2.28.  My GOAL is 
to get MIMEDefang 2.33 running.

Here is what occurs in the upgrade process.  When I get 2.33 installed, 
I get the following error:

 mimedefang-multiplexor: Slave 0 stderr: Can't locate Unix/Syslog.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/lib/perl5/5.6.1/i386-linux /usr/lib/perl5/5.6.1 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.1/i386-linux /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.1 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl .) at /usr/local/bin/mimedefang.pl line 71. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/local/bin/mimedefang.pl line 71.

Searching for the Missing Module yields:

/home/root/.cpan/build/Unix-Syslog-0.99/blib/lib/Unix/Syslog.pm

/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.1/i386-linux/Unix/Syslog.pm
/usr2/src/psad-1.1/Unix-Syslog-0.100/Syslog.pm
/usr2/src/psad-1.1/Unix-Syslog-0.100/blib/lib/Unix/Syslog.pm
/usr2/src/Bastille-2.1/psad-1.0/Unix-Syslog-0.100/Syslog.pm
/usr2/src/Bastille-2.1/psad-1.0/Unix-Syslog-0.100/blib/lib/Unix/Syslog.pm


The files are there, and can be seen via:  

[/usr/src/MIMEDefang/mimedefang-2.28] ll /usr/lib/perl5/5.6.1/i386-linux/Sys/Syslog.pm /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.1/i386-linux/Unix/Syslog.pm

Which happens to Match what I have on several other servers.  So what is the real problem here?  Does anyone know?  Can you please help?
