Hello,
I've just upgraded from Mime Defang 2.30 to 2.33, and decided to
install the Unix::Syslog module (.100 version from the link on the
roaringpenguin website)
Everything was working properly before the upgrade and addition of
Unix::Syslog module. Now, I get these messages in the maillog file:
May 21 02:01:13 www mimedefang-multiplexor: Slave 0 stderr: Argument
"info" isn't numeric in subroutine entry at
/usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.1/i586-linux-thread-multi/Unix/Syslog.pm
line 60, <STDIN> line 5.
And all users are getting messages like this on their consoles:
Message from syslogd at www at Wed May 21 02:04:02 2003 ...
www mimedefang.pl[24532]: xxxx Host 127.0.0.1 (localhost) said HELO
I looked briefly at the code, and it would appear to check if
Unix::Syslog feature is enabled and (attempts to?) perform a
translation of string into a number and syslog using the number; so
I'm not sure why I'm getting these messages in the log.
./configure *did* detect the presence of Unix::Syslog.
Any advice is appreciated.. Thank you!
