[Mimedefang] Not getting admin alerts concerning quarantined messages

It's my understanding from reading the HOWTO (at rudolphtire.com) that when
a message is quarantined the MIMEDefang admin should get an email saying as
such. However this does not seem to be happening on my setup - using
sendmail 8.12.9 and mimedefang 2.32. I'm using the default filter and have
defined the admin email address in there. Does the daemonaddress need to
be valid for the alerts to be sent? I tried setting the daemonaddress to
root at localhost just in case, but that made no difference. I've also looked
in my maillog and can see no sign of any message being sent soon after the
mail was quarantined (it was quarantined due to suspicious characters in
the header).

I've not uncommented the line:
# If you want quarantine reports, uncomment next line
# send_quarantine_notifications();

Because this was in the spamassassin section, and the messages weren't
quarantined because of spam. Does this apply?

I have the queue runner setup, using the command "sendmail -L sm-msp-queue
-Ac -q5m".

Any idea what I've not set correctly?
