Right, I got perl 5.6.1 installed, happened to have it handy ... but now
mimedefang cant find vars.pm

Mar 28 15:30:01 marina mimedefang-multiplexor: Slave 0 stderr: Can't locate
vars.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/local/lib/perl5/5.6.1/i686-linux
/usr/local/lib/perl5/5.6.1 /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.1/i686-linux
/usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.1 /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl .) at
/usr/local/bin/mimedefang.pl line 45. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at
/usr/local/bin/mimedefang.pl line 45.

vars.pm is located in:
/usr/local/lib/perl5/5.6.1/vars.pm
/usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.1/vars.pm

Anyone know what the deal is with this ?

Tom

If you're going to blow it away anyway, and you can risk something
possibly even more damaging <g>, you might want to try this:

find /usr/lib/perl5 -type f -name "*.ph" -exec rm {} \;
cd /usr/include
h2ph *.h sys/*.h gnu/*.h

...but that's a total guess.
