[Mimedefang] redhat 8 question

I have installed the required Prerequisites on my redhat 8 box.

The docs give detailed instruction on building sendmail to work with
mimedefang. I already have sendmail installed. Do I need to remove it and
rebuild for mimedefang, or are their docs that can tell me what files to
edit so sendmail works with mimedefang?
