[Mimedefang] MIMEDefang timeouts (again)

Hi,

I've perused the archives but still can't find the answer
and hope someone can help. I have a certain message that keeps
timing out the multiplexor after exactly 2 minutes. I've disabled
Virus checking (as per a previous post suggestion). This message
always fails and i've reams of rejections in my logs for this message
where it gets retried every so often. My (recieving) machine is idle,
so it is definetly not load related.

I've switched the defanger into debug mode and the messsages are as
follows:

...stuff...
Jul 9 11:31:45 core mimedefang[8743]: Exiting header (line 904) ret=SMFIS_CONTINUE
Jul 9 11:31:45 core mimedefang[8743]: Entering eoh (line 922)
Jul 9 11:31:45 core mimedefang[8743]: Exiting eoh (line 942) ret=SMFIS_CONTINUE
Jul 9 11:31:45 core mimedefang[8743]: Entering body (line 965)
Jul 9 11:31:45 core mimedefang[8743]: Exiting body (line 1023) ret=SMFIS_CONTINUE
Jul 9 11:31:45 core mimedefang[8743]: Entering eom (line 1054)
Jul 9 11:33:45 core mimedefang[8743]: Error from multiplexor: ERR Filter timed out - check filter rules or system load
Jul 9 11:33:45 core mimedefang[8743]: Entering cleanup (line 1351)
Jul 9 11:33:45 core mimedefang[8743]: Exiting cleanup (line 1395) ret=SMFIS_CONTINUE
Jul 9 11:33:45 core mimedefang[8743]: Exiting eom (line 1093) ret=SMFIS_TEMPFAIL
Jul 9 11:33:45 core sm-mta[8741]: h69AVimm008741: Milter: data, reject=451 4.7.1 Please try again later
Jul 9 11:33:45 core sm-mta[8741]: h69AVimm008741: to=<mitch at 0bits.com>, delay=00:02:00, pri=140423, stat=Please try again later
Jul 9 11:33:45 core mimedefang[8743]: Entering mfclose (line 1301)
Jul 9 11:33:45 core mimedefang[8743]: Entering cleanup (line 1351)
Jul 9 11:33:45 core mimedefang[8743]: Exiting cleanup (line 1395) ret=SMFIS_CONTINUE
Jul 9 11:33:45 core mimedefang[8743]: Exiting mfclose (line 1317) ret=SMFIS_CONTINUE

So it looks like it got the "eom" at 11:31 - i.e. it finished processing
but the multiplexor didn't respond and mimedefang.pl timeout at 11:33
exactly 2 minutes later. I have attached the rouge message and my
mimedefang.pl -features output. The message is plain text with no
attachment viruses, so i can't figure out what is going on. My sendmail
config timeouts is

INPUT_MAIL_FILTER(`mimedefang', `S=unix:/var/spool/MIMEDefang/mimedefang.sock, F=T, T=S:5m;R:5m')

Is there anyway to manually test out the defanger with a input message to
see where it is hanging by strace'ing the processes ?

help
Mitch
