Your first answer is no, MimeDefang does not use SpamAssassin's config file
to control it's behavior on scanning.  I would dare say, why would it, but
that's another issue.

The simplest answer is to have the users zip the files with a password
assuming you allow zips and encrypted zips through.  It's really a bad habit
to allow the no-no extensions and with the number of blended threat viruses
out there I can see this getting messed up at some point done the line and
allowing anyone to send any extension.
