[Mimedefang] Simple test mimedefang, how ?]

I'm in the same boat as this guy running 8.12.9 and md 2.34 on RH8. 
 Sendmail is starting mimedefang but mail is not getting scanned.

Also re: the suggestions below, looks like sendmail knows mimedefang is 
the input filter without
having to add the define you've recommended.  Just for kicks, I added 
it, rebuilt the .cf file and shows the same two refs to mimedefang as 
before adding the line

define(`confINPUT_MAIL_FILTERS', `mimedefang')dnl

Should I see other references?

# grep mimedefang /etc/mail/sendmail.cf
O InputMailFilters=mimedefang
Xmimedefang, S=unix:/var/spool/MIMEDefang/mimedefang.sock, T=S:5m;R:5m

What's special about this define that was also suggested?
define(`MILTER', `1')dnl

I'm still looking for additional things to try to get mimedefang working 
-it's been a week since I installed it.  I'm sure there's some simple thing
but I'm getting weary.  See my sendmail-mimedefang-spamassassin thread 
for more details.
