[Mimedefang] Mimedefang and clamav

I have searched the archives, but still have not come up with a usable 
answer regarding getting MD & clamd functional.

MD does not recognize clamd or clamav as being installed.  Re-ran configure 
after scratching config.status.  No luck as to picking up clam stuff.

i.e.:

I've tried changing the user from clamav to defang, moving socket all over 
the place, changing the clam config file etc. etc. with no luck.  Clamd 
runs nicely and loggs all it does at runtime.  But no indication it is 
chatting correctly with MD.

This is after I put the user back to clamav.

I guess what is killing me is the no recognition of clamav in the configure 
script, when in fact it is installed.

Maybe it's my mimedefang-filter file.  There are no examples anywhere of 
setting up the filter with clamd.  I am no novice to Unix, (Linux) and MD & 
SpamAssassin are playing nicely together.

MD doc's indicate MD should automatically recognize Clam stuff...

Can someone please point me in the right direction...
