[Mimedefang] problem with file include on mimedefang 2.28

Update:

regarding the error message below. It turns out that the
/usr/local/share/spamassassin and /usr/local/etc/mimedefang directories had
the wrong permissions. I have fixed the permissions, but a new problem has
surfaced (though think it's related):

Jan 10 10:43:01 mail mimedefang-multiplexor: Starting slave 1 (pid 5587) (2
running): Bringing slaves up to minSlaves (2)
Jan 10 10:43:32 mail mimedefang-multiplexor: Slave 0 died prematurely --
check your filter rules
Jan 10 10:43:32 mail mimedefang-multiplexor: Slave 0 stderr: Undefined
subroutine &main::filter called at /usr/local/bin/mimedefang.pl line 395.
Jan 10 10:43:32 mail mimedefang-multiplexor: Reap: Idle slave 0 (pid 5586)
exited normally with status 255 (SLAVE DIED UNEXPECTEDLY)

I'm wondering if mimedefang.pl includes the mimedefang-filter file, and
then maybe "it" includes something else that currently doesn't have correct
permissions. I'm really curious if anyone else is struggling with the
freebsd mimedefang 2.28 port :)
