[Mimedefang] spamassassin spamc/spamd with userpref in SQL

Hi,

mimedefang is using the mail::spamassassin library for spam filtering.

I would like to use spamd/spamc in order to be able to use easily the nice
SQL features of spamassassin for reading the user preferences.

Is this the right way to do (I mean using spamc and not spamassassin)?
I was unable to find out in all these files where I can change the real spam
scanner I thought I had to do this in the SpamAssassin.pm file but
nothing...

I read an earlier message (from Zach Lowry ) on how he configured
mimedefang-filter for reading the spamassassin filter info's and the idea of
this was to read the "required hits" in SQL. But this is only a part of the
solution.
