[Mimedefang] inet option & mimedefang-multiplexor & performa nce

Thanks, my main goal is to distribute the load.

I would really like to have one or more mail routing servers and one or more
filtering servers and one or more backend (mail storage servers).

Any ideas for distributing the filtering ?

I am interested to know which hardware people are using and how many mails
they process with which filters.

CU Greg

I don't think this is a good idea. UNIX-domain sockets are much faster
than TCP sockets, typically, and I believe it's faster to run Sendmail
and MIMEDefang on the same machine.

The multiplexor and mimedefang MUST run on the same machine, because they
need access to the same /var/spool/MIMEDefang directory.
