BETA-5 had still another silly bug whereby slaves beyond the minimum
would be killed immediately instead of waiting for the idle time.

I will do no more coding today.

To summarize for those who've just joined the discussion: Today's
betas feature drastically-reorganized code in the multiplexor that
should make it scale up much better on large and busy mail servers.

Unless you're doing well over 100K messages/day/machine and routinely
have dozens of concurrent slaves, don't bother looking at the beta.
