Rh, eh. Well then maybe you have done what I did. In the source tree
there's a directory redhat. In that directory there are the following
files:
-rw-r--r--    1 gerry    wheel        7816 Nov 23 11:39 mimedefang.spec
-rw-r--r--    1 gerry    wheel        9004 Nov 10 10:52 mimedefang-init
-rw-r--r--    1 gerry    wheel        6715 Nov 10 09:57
mimedefang-sysconfig
-rw-r--r--    1 gerry    wheel        7854 Jun  4  2003
mimedefang-spec.in

I couldn;t find where it's mentioned in the docs but you must copy
mimedefang-sysconfig  to /etc/sysconfig/mimedefang before MD will
initialize correctly. If you don't you get results like what you are
seeing. Try it if you didn't and tell us if you did, please.
