[Mimedefang] Slave dies prematurely

I just discovered that if an incoming email has an attachment with
an extension that filter_bad_filename wants to filter out, I get the
following errors in my syslog...

exited normally with status 255 (SLAVE DIED UNEXPECTEDLY)

Any idea what could be causing this?

I appear to be running mimedefang-2.7
