Only when they're caught by /etc/mail/mimedefang-filter for one
of the acceptable reasons. Normal signed/encrypted emails with
no "problems" are passed with an intact PGP/GPG signature.

I have implemented MIMEDefang and still use signed emails.

Have a perl programmer edit /etc/mail/mimedefang-filter to suit
your organisations requirements. Almost anything is possible.

"As simple as possible, but no simpler" is a good description
of MIMEDefang. It's as complex to use as the task of filtering
email should be.
