Your Perl is the Sun-supplied perl, and was built with Sun's C compiler.
You have three options:

1) Buy Sun's C compiler.

2) Download a version of Perl from http://www.sunfreeware.com that was
compiled with GCC.

3) Hack the Perl config files so they will work with GCC.

(1) is expensive and (3) is a pain.  I recommend (2).
