It doesn't do that, it just ensures that the spam-reply is not blocked as 
well as SPAM. Also, if you forward a spammy mail to somebody else you don't 
want to have it blocked as SPAM either. 

Does the "auto-whitelist cannot work with mimedefang" because it changes 
state which was just pointed out by somebody else (thanks!) still apply ?
