>From the SA docs:
Whitelists and Blacklists:
You can define a whitelist, a list of domains and/or addresses from which email will never be tagged as spam no matter what its score is. This is done with the whitelist_from directive. Likewise, a blacklist is a list of domain and/or addresses from which email will always be tagged as spam. You can have as many of either of these directives as you want, one per line. File glob-style patterns are supported. Below is an example section of the user_prefs file.
# Whitelist and blacklist addresses are now file-glob-style
#patterns, so "friend at somewhere.com", "*@isp.com", or
#"*.domain.net" will all work.
# whitelist_from someone at somewhere.com
whitelist_from *uiuc.edu
whitelist_from *uillinois.edu
whitelist_from *@friends.com
whitelist_from meghan at colleagues.com
blacklist_from *@spamhut.com
blacklist_from *@massamrketing.com
Question:
======
Does this mean that ONLY these types of examples are valid? What about:
*@*acme.com
*acme.*
*acme*
This has come up because of promo e-mails from partners, etc. Like: From: footballguy at acmefreeticketstoday.com or something silly like that. These are one / two times addresses used by vaild partners / clients to send us promos or information. Novell, Inc. is a good example of people doing this.
Thanks,
Jed
