[Mimedefang] clamd not kicking in

I just converted from using clamscan to clamd, and the daemon doesn't 
seem to be getting any traffic.  I have defined $ClamdSock properly, and 
I have converted my *_contains_virus_clamscan() calls to 
*_contains_virus_clamd() calls.  I even went so far as to explicitly 
call the fuctions with the socket path, and that didn't help either. 
clamd is definately running, and it's logs don't indicate anything abnormal.

I'm running MIMEDefang v2.25 and clamd v0.53.  Am I missing something?
