[Mimedefang] Files not being removed.

I am currently using mimedefang 2.3,I know I need to
upgrade,  I am seeing a pattern of files that
mimedefang is not removing from emails.  

It seems that if the file name has a space before the
.exe or has [1].exe mimedefang does not remove it and
allows it through.  

Examples are "setup .exe" and "Newfile[1].pif".  I am
setup to removed exe's and pif's along with others and
it works fine if the space and [] are not there. 

 Is this just me?  If it is a error in the version I
have would it be fixed if I upgraded to 2.12?
