I agree.  Forget I mentioned it.  If you want to limit message sizes,
use the normal Sendmail mechanism.

For the original poster:  Increasing timeouts may solve your problem, but
it may also cause a problem if the sending relay times out waiting for
the SMTP response code.  You have to be careful.
