[Mimedefang] "Could not create mdefang directory" under AIX

Hi
I am new in this list,  sorry if it is discussed before. 
I use mimedefang 2.12 / 2.15 under AIX 4.3.3, it works fine actually, but 
if mimedefang get more than 1 message from sendmail at the same second,
mimedefang can't create a directory in /var/spool/MIMEdefang directory,
the syslog said: 
" Could not create mdefang directory in  /var/spool/MIMEDefang: Do not  
  specify an existing file. "
mkdir failed because the directory exist, but in my case, the errno
is 0 and not EEXIST. I use AIX C compiler, but the same problem with 
gcc 2.95 . 
I did try to check mkdir function in a simple c program, but it works 
fine , also it will set errno to EEXIST if the directory exist. also
mkdir behaves abnormal only in mimedefang. does someone else have the same 
problem under AIX?
