[Mimedefang] Auto White LIst in Spamassassin through mimedefang

I'm trying to figure out which parts of Spamassassin don't work when it 
gets run under MimeDefang.  I ran Spamassassin
from Mailscanner previously. I really like MimeDefang better in a lot of 
ways - but it appears that since I put it under
mimedefang the auto-whitelist feature of Spamassassin doesn't work.  I'm 
not sure that bothers me, but is this normal?
