[Mimedefang] ERR timed out

Oh yes, of course.
I'm using sendmail 8.12.3 and Mimedefang 2.9
The multiplexor is started with these parameters :
MAX_SLAVES=15
MIN_SLAVES=5
BUSY_TIMEOUT=180
IDLE_TIMEOUT=300

This is from my sendmail.cf

Xmimedefang, S=:/var/run/mimedefang.sock, F=T, T=S:180s;R:180s;E:5m

The machine is a Sun E450 with 2 processors, 1GB RAM,
Yesterday, it handled >10000 incoming messages.
In top, the mimedefang.pl processes are always on top of the list.
