[Mimedefang] Testing

How can I test to be sure mimedefang is working properly against Spam? Would
forwarding some spam from a yahoo account work? I don't have any virus
definitions on this box. What am I suppose to use or are you all using for
yours? I'm a little confused when it comes to the virus part...
