Did you ./configure and install MIMEDefang *AFTER* installing SpamAssassin?
If not, mimedefang.pl will be incorrect, because if SpamAssassin is not
detected at ./configure time, the "use Mail::SpamAssassin" line is not placed
in mimedefang.pl.

See README.SPAMASSASSIN.  You have to follow the steps in order.
