That should not be necessary.  Neither the multiplexor nor the slave
threads create the directory; that's done by the C "mimedefang" program
itself.  That program should clean up after a killed thread.

If you are seeing mdefang-* directories hanging around, it's a bug.  I
will have to figure out how to reproduce the problem.
