[Mimedefang] What operating system are you running?

A sparc 5/70, 64 meg of memory, 2X4 gig hard drive mirrored (this was an
IPX, upgraded recently), as well as a Ultra 5/360 128 meg memory 1X4 gig
hard drive. Both are redundant-MX pass-through systems, blocking a slew of
dangerous extensions and also utilizing RBL+ lists to block spam (for what
that is worth). Then the mail goes to a UE250 and into an exchange system,
blah blah blah... :)

We're currently running on a pair of 700MHz systems with Linux 2.4.7.
Combined, they process roughly 35,000 msgs/day. CPU stays very low
utilization (single digits). We're not using SpamAssassin yet but plan to.

I'm very pleased with the response time/throughput on these systems. I
figure it will be a long time before we have to upgrade them.

Hi all,

A mail server survey:

What operating system and version are you running?

How many messages do you process in an average day?

Thanks,
