[Mimedefang] perl module problem--solution

Dear MimeDefang:

I discovered my machine didn't have any *.ph files, so to make the 
Sys::Syslog module work I had to

# cd /usr/include
# h2ph -r -l .

Is this step normal or is it usually done automatically during perl's 
installation?
